Kitesurf - Gear hire at Dakhla

PREPAIEMENT RENTAL RATES

IMPORTANT
Because of the risk of accidents in kitesurfing, until the kiter is able to handle the kite wing correctly, we have set out the following rules. We hope you will understand that your safety is our priority. To hire kitesurfing gear, you need to be at least level 3 (Skyriders System level) and meet the conditions listed below. Our kitesurfing instructors will check your skills in a control test. If an instructor comes to the conclusion that your kitesurfing skills are not advanced enough, the hire agreement can be converted into a lesson.

HIRE CONDITIONS

1. Being in good health
2. Being able to swim perfectly
3. Possibility of going back to the point of departure at any time (level 3)
4. Navigating upwind (level 3)
5. Starting in the water (level 3)
6. Launching the wing again after it has fallen in the water (level 3)

PLEASE NOTE
1. pre-booked hire and “Special hours” packs cannot be cancelled or transferred to other people.
2. insurance does not cover negligence, collisions with other people, or damage due to contact with the beach or any other object on the spot where you have been issued with a warning.
3. no equipment insurance outside of the bay.

A control test is part of the compulsory conditions that must be met before you can hire any gear. Only our instructors can decide whether or not you can hire kitesurfing gear. If you have not reached Skyriders level 3, we suggest that you take some additional hours of lessons, or you will be billed for 1 hour’s hire for the test, and we will take the gear back. 

Any gear that is broken or destroyed during the control test must be paid for by the kiter!
Kitesurfing is an enjoyable sport, but these rules are essential because kitesurfing can be very dangerous or even fatal for the kiter and people around them!
