Numerous changes are hidden in detail. E.g. the shorter luff has a very positive effect. Everything feels more compact and at the same time more neutral making the ICE easier than ever to handle. The handling has improved significantly, without loosing any planing power of its predecessor thanks to a modified luff curve and optimised profile distribution. It is unbelievable how just a few centimetres can make such a change!
In addition, key success factors were obtained for the ICE. E.g. the unique base geometry, which will lower the center of gravity making the sail neutral. Or the impressive performance over a very wide wind range and the instantaneous reaction. This is the result of the iMODULAR.DESIGN.

Also: The sail weight is decreased by 10%! Working best on single-fin boards, the ICE was designed for all World Cup spots. It functions equally well from Ho’okipa to Sylt, to Gran Canaria or at your favourite spot. All ICE sizes were designed for RDM masts, but are still compatible with our SDM masts. That’s why the new ICE feels softer and can be easily controlled and pumped onto the plane. These abilities are also supported by the modified luff curve and the optimised leech tension.

KEY FEATURES

> 01 New: reduced luff length and approx. 10% reduced sail weight makes the sail feel a lot lighter in your hands

> 02 New: iBUMPER, the most advanced and effective molded mast protector

> 03 TWIN.TRIM.CLEW allows for individual tuning increasing the range of use

> 04 Designed to work best on RDM masts but still fully compatible with our SDM masts

> 05 MINIMUM.MAST.CONCEPT: one mast (400-19) fits all sizes

The radical look of the new ICE reveals that there was done a lot of development work, which turns into great performance. This World Cup wave sail has the potential to get the maximum out of any situation - even in very critical conditions!

Evolution is a constant process. Step by step, could even the ultimate can be improved. Therefore Kai Hopf looked into every detail of the ICE. From the refinement of the luff curve to the optimization of the sail foil tension up to new batten profiles - hardly a design feature was omitted. The results are impressive across the board: the 2011 ICE feels much lighter in your hands and is even more radical to direct!

In addition the key success factors of the ICE were sustained. E.g. the sensational handling as a result of the optimized foot geometry (especially when descending the wave), the impressive performance over a very wide wind range and the instantaneous reaction. Finally the iMODULAR.DESIGN’s optimized sail weight has a huge impact on handling.

Since the ICE was designed for all World Cup spots, it functions equally well from Ho’okipa to Sylt, to Gran Canaria or at your favorite spot.

All ICE sizes were designed for RDM masts, but are still compatible with SDM masts. That’s why the new ICE feels softer and can be easily controlled and pumped onto the plane. These abilities are also supported by the modified luff curve and the optimized leech tension.

?ICE HD – The Ice is now also available in monofilm-free, hardcore X.PLY version.

Almost everything is different: The HERO is the impressive production of an ultra modern 4 batten wave sail, which is repleted with the finest components and technical know-how. Regardless of under- or properly powered up, too much pressure or too little, this sail always generates power without becoming unstable. Despite a further draft back position it doesn’t become back handy, even when overpowered. This let’s you imagine, how much the wind range has improved compared to previous 4 batten sails! The low weight makes for an increadible handling. While rigging you can already imagine how light and soft the sail feels. The rotation is smooth as silk, even with minimal outhaul tension. On the water it immediately appears that your back hand is the throttle. Just sheet in and the HERO immediately builds up power, speeds up, and gets you going. On the wave it becomes a discreet engine always ready to accelerate when needed. The top is working very effective supporting the power. Therefore, you can safely choose a sail size smaller than with many other wave sails. This applies to almost any rider, regardless of weight.Kai Hopf developed the BALANCED.LUFF.LENGTH, a precisely balanced ratio of luff length to boom length. As short as possible for most radical throw-ability and as long as necessary to generate sufficient stability for maximum wind range.

Design, processing, shape and features as the new iBUMPER mast protector make the radical HERO a perfect package that can measure up to the future in the competition must.

IMPORTANT: the HERO is exclusively designed for RDM masts due to its narrow sleeve and elastic characteristics. The smaller mast diameter perfectly matches this softer feeling sail and shorter luff.

KEY FEATURES

> 01 ?NEW: Radical 4 batten wave sail with lots of power and yet extremely wide wind range

> 02 NEW: iBUMPER, the most modern and most effective protector of a piece mast

> 03 ?BALANCED.LUFF.LENGTH as short as possible for most radical throw-ability and as long as necessary for maximum wind range.

> 04 TWIN.TRIM.CLEW allows for individual tuning increasing the range of use

No wonder as the evolution from the 2011 DUKE never stopped. The main objective of the team was an even better handling to allow for even more radical freestyle tricks through a reduced swing weight. Kai Hopf has found ways to reduce the sail weight by approximately 10% without sacrificing strength and durability! In addition, he shortened the luff length, which leads to significantly simplified control. Also, Kai gave the brand new DUKE a more elastic feeling, which gives lots of confidence for even the most difficult manoeuvres. In summary this means: Significant lower weight and improved handling which makes the DUKE feel balanced in your hands and gives you maximum room for your own style. As a power wave/freestyle sail the DUKE works best on single-fin boards.

The requirements for a Power Wave sails and a Freestyle sail are very similar: great planing potential combined with maximum handling and good controllability. Up to 5.0, the DUKE therefore has been designed as a powerful Wave sail. Not only because of the effective TWIN.TRIM.CLEW it has the greatest trimming versatility of all our Wave sails and the DUKE can easily be controlled by medium-weight riders too. For sizes 5.4 and above, Kai Hopf improved the new DUKE strictly according to the specifications of our 4-times Freestyle World Champion Jose “Gollito” Perez. 5
battens, the HYPER.LEECH II and the unique foot geometry improve the handling especially during difficult Freestyle tricks.

All DUKE sizes were designed for RDM masts, but are still 100% compatible
with our SDM masts.

> 04 TWO MASTS.FIT.ALL: with only 2 masts you cover all sizes

> 05 Designed to work best on RDM masts but still fully compatible with our SDM masts

2011 the evolution of the DUKE takes a giant step! The latest generation takes you to the next level - with a carefully optimized luff curve, modified sail foil tension and optimized batten profiles. Thus, the new Duke is even lighter in the hand and allows you more flexibility than ever for your very own style and focus on the essentials. And very important: Although all DUKE develop maximum performance on RDM masts, they are still 100% compatible with conventional SDM masts!

No other sail can covers such an extremely wide range from Wave to flatwater Freestyle as perfectly as the DUKE. This rule applies for years, and the optimized 2011 model more than ever is like a chameleon that adapts to its environment almost automatically. To enable this broad range of use, the whole team was involved. Only this way it’s guaranteed that the Duke will meet all requirements in all conditions.

The requirements for a Power Wave sails and a Freestyle sail are very similar: great planing potential combined with maximum handling and good controllability. Up to 5.4m2, the DUKE therefore has been designed as a powerful Wave sail. Not only because of the effective TWIN.TRIM.CLEW it has the greatest trimming versatility of all our Wave sails and the DUKE can easily be controlled by medium-weight riders too.

For sizes 5.9m² and above, Kai Hopf improved the new DUKE strictly according to the specifications of our Triple Freestyle World Champion Jose “Gollito” Perez, and EFPT Champion Andre Paskowski. 5 battens, the HYPER.LEECH II and the unique foot geometry improve the handling especially during difficult Freestyle tricks.

Crossover

The powerful and playful manageable all-arounder now has even more performance than its predecessor and multiple test-winner. This is shown by the fact that all sizes from 6.2 are now equipped with CROSS.BATTEN and CUTAWAY.CLEW which gives the NATURAL not only better acceleration but also an increase in high end stability and speed.

In the course of laborious tests, Kai Hopf developed a new sail layout that requires much less trimming know-how. This means less time and knowledge is required for the setup, without need for subsequent adjustments!

The secret of the perfectly balanced range of the NATURAL is the PROGRESSIVE.BATTEN.CONFIGURATION. As a result, the focus for sizes up to 5.8m2 is still on handling and draft stability, which explains why only 5 battens are in place.

At 6.2m2 and above, the design focuses on performance while Kai Hopf once again concentrated on simple rig control and handling characteristics. Both versions offer excellent control, a high level of comfort, and plenty of planing ability - the perfect synthesis of speed, acceleration, and handling. The new NATURAL will make windsurfing much less complicated, and we believe that for many sailors the problem of choosing the right equipment is almost obsolete.

More Rocker, a more harmonious outline, slightly wider in the nose and then gunning out the tail together with soft rails makes it hold at any speed in the bottom turn.

The bottom shape ensures early planning while still keeping the ease to roll the board rail to rail. With again a wider stance it is a great feeling of control once you get yourself into the bottom turn and with the added rocker the board is super easy to redirect in the turns as well as unwind in the cut back so to be able to hit the wave later and harder.

For the 2010 line up this is your weapon of choice if you are looking for modern design wave riding board. It will handle side onshore to onshore conditions well but will truly excel in the surf.
Shock wave is our go-to wave board.

This board will handle any conditions you get yourself into - from onshore waves to offshore wave sailing - and will excel in all of them. The new Shock Wave has a more rounded nose, so that more of the rail gets into the water, making it much easier to position the board in the bottom turn and hold it through even the toughest chop.

The board also has a faster rocker line, which in combination with the tail kick really improves performance in both onshore and offshore conditions. The bottom shape promotes easy foot steering and the transition from rail to rail. Your stance is wider, making it easier to move your body weight back and forth over the board. In turns, this really helps you to bury the nose in the bottom turn and then unleash in the top turns.

And thanks to our CAD-engineered volume flow and flat deck, you’ll gain stability and glide where other shorter, high-performance boards demand more balance and paddling skill. The 9’ 6” is available in only our top-end Wood Sandwich Construction with Softdeck for a stylishly high-tech yet retro look.

Fly 10’ 0”

For lighter and middleweight riders, the Fly 10’ 0” is perfect for first waves through to charging big surf. A classic pintail shape guarantees performance and speed, while the lower entry rocker line means you’ll never miss a wave. With a speedy flat spot in front of plenty of V in the tail, this 10-footer feels loose for vertical control and power. A tri fin cluster gives further options for drive and tracking in almost any water state. Available in either High Resistance Skin (HRS) or high-spec Wood Sandwich Constructions – both featuring Softdeck non-slip pad.

Fly 10’ 6”

A board for a lifetime of surfing. Heavier riders or those who want a board for all conditions will fall in love with this timeless thruster shape. Soft rails up front and sharper edges in the tail give the grip and feel of a smaller board with all the grace and glide of the ancient Hawaiians. Thanks to a flatter nose rocker and more pronounced curve in the tail, you gain easy paddling and turning ability for effortless, cruisy rides. A flat deck and volume out wide mean there’s balance and stability galore. A whole new world of fitness and adventure awaits as you explore rivers and creeks, enjoy long distance paddles, or just splashing around on your local lake. What greater way to share the joy of surfing with family, friends and beginners? Choose from lightweight Wood Sandwich or durable HRS constructions, with both models sporting comfy slip-free Softdeck.
